棚いっぱいに並ぶのは、全国の産地から集めた湯呑み。萩焼のやわらかな色合い、備前焼の土の味わい、京・清水焼の華やかな絵付け。九谷焼や会津本郷焼、常滑焼の朱泥まで、選びきれないほど揃っています。
手に取ってみてください。形も重さも、口当たりも、一つひとつ違います。すっと手になじむもの、ぽってりと温かいもの。
お気に入りは、きっと指先が教えてくれます。
蓋付きの湯呑みは、来客のおもてなしにも重宝します。招き猫やふくろう、だるまなど、眺めて楽しい絵柄もご用意しました。

Welcome to our teacup corner.
The cups filling these shelves are yunomi — the everyday Japanese teacup. Taller than a matcha bowl and made to be cradled in the hand, a yunomi is what people in Japan reach for at home, for a quiet cup of green tea.
Each one comes from a different pottery town. Hagi ware glows in soft, pale glazes. Bizen ware shows the bare colour of the fired clay. From Kyoto, Kiyomizu ware brings bright painted flowers, while the red clay of Tokoname keeps the tea inside warm.
Pick one up. The weight, the curve, the rim against your lip — every cup feels a little different. The right one tends to find your hand on its own.
Some come with lids, for serving guests. Others wear cats, owls, or lucky daruma dolls.
In Japan, many people keep one cup as their own. Take your time, and find the one that feels like yours.
